Andy Seuss won the inaugural Whelen Southern Modified Tour event at South Boston Speedway in 2009. The past two winners of this event, James Civali (2010) and Ted Christopher (last year's rain delayed event), are not on Saturday's entry list. George Brunnhoelzl III has finished second twice ('09 and '11). Brian Loftin won the tour's most recent race at Caraway Speedway last weekend.
